What do you wish?

Posted on Jan 18th, 2008 by Bryan : elemental Bryan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 18, 2008:

I wish I could be invincibally running through the world naked... to jump off mountains without getting hurt or breaking... to telekinetically move objects... to fly like superman in the snow, not getting uncomfortably cold while maintaining full articulation... to sunbath in a hot summer day and not get burned... to swim like a dolphin for a year and explore the ocean deep without drowning or getting eaten... to never get sick... to never be afraid... and to have the intuitive discernment to know how and when these abilities have become a reality. Selfish, I know, but it would be super ultra mega awesome! I figure with all this, all other best wishes could be attained through using my powers for helping humanity collectively reach higher healthful potientials.

permaculture 101

Permaculture 101

http://www.globalonenessproject.org/

Permaculture — a combination of the words “permanent” and “agriculture”
— offers a unique approach to the practice of sustainable farming,
ranching, gardening, and living. A cornerstone of permaculture
philosophy is to turn problems into opportunities and apparent “wastes”
into resources. Permaculture shows us how to observe the dynamics of
natural ecosystems. We can apply this knowledge in designing
constructed ecosystems that serve the needs of human populations
without degrading our natural environment. Permaculture sites integrate
plants, animals, landscapes, structures, and humans into symbiotic
systems where the products of one element serve the needs of another.
Nature is always caring for the earth, caring for people, and
reinvesting in the future. These basic ethics form a solid foundation
on which humans can build a stable and sustainable future. They can
help farmers transform an uncertain marketing situation into a stable
economic enterprise and a supportive community.

What was the last thing you took a picture of?

Posted on Nov 20th, 2007 by Bryan : elemental Bryan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 20, 2007:

I recently saw a table in the shape of a flower at a second hand store. It has shelves in the shape of leaves extending off the stem like base. It looks like something from a Barbi playhouse, but I saw it as a project.
So I picked it up, brought it home, and took a picture before i started painting and detailing it.
I'll be sure to post the before and after pictures after im done.

What are your feelings about 9/11?

Posted on Sep 11th, 2007 by Bryan : elemental Bryan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 11, 2007:

My feelings late night 9/10, early 9/11 were feelings of anxiety, which propelled curiosity into discovery, a quickening that connected my mind and heart  through the tremors of a tragedy to come... I must have felt the negative intent in the planning.
When I awoke the morning of 9/11 and heard the news, I felt a universal sorrow.
I shed tears for my lack of understanding, for the games that humans get so involved in, that they will take the lives of innocence to support some agenda, of which we are left guessing the details of what really happened that day.

Earthlings- a documentary

Posted on Jun 28th, 2007 by Bryan : elemental Bryan
"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

-Albert Einstein

Let truth compel you.

" You must be the change you wish to see in the world "

-Mahatma Gandhi
